An eyelidplasty, also known as a blepharoplasty, is, from a patient's point of view, probably the easiest of the cosmetic procedures they could consider having. The operation basically involves removal of the excess, redundant and sagging skin in the upper and lower eyelids, together with any "bags" that may be present. The procedure is done on a day surgery basis, meaning that you can arrive and leave the same day, without the necessity of an overnight stay. The operative technique involves making incisions that run in the normal folds of the upper and lower eyelids through which all of the excess skin is removed, together with the bags.
